Airbourne
Airbourne
Genre: Hard/Metal

Often likened to a modern-day AC/DC, Airbourne plays typically Australian hard rock.

Born in Victoria, in one of Australia's many rural towns, the O'Keeffe brothers – Joël (vocals and guitar) and Ryan (drums) – grew up listening to the best albums of Rose Tattoo, AC/DC, The Angels (Angels City), Billy Thorpe and Cold Chisel.
With David Roads (guitar) and Justin Street (bass), a few years ago they formed Airbourne, a boiling hot combination that only the land of the kangaroo could have produced. The band, whose sound is along the lines of the hits 'Highway to Hell' and 'Back in Black', first became more widely known supporting stars such as the Rolling Stones, Mötley Crüe and Motorhead. Their notoriety also grew due to the many adaptations of their songs used in popular video games including Guitar Hero, Need For Speed, Tony Hawk's Proving Ground and Medal of Honor.

With Runnin’ Wild (2008), their first album, which was an instant hit and packed out all their concerts, Airbourne seem to have found themselves a position in the AC/DC legacy: a family history that started well and continued with No Guts, No Glory, released in March 2010 on Roadrunner.
