No One Is Innocent
With their emblematic name, No One is innocent have shaken up the rock scene in France ever since they first made their mark in 1994 with the release of their debut album. Their first gold single, ‘ la Peau’, quickly made it clear that the words ‘rage’ and ‘sweat’ could have been invented for them. With their drive to surprise and to always move forward, the guerrillas of No one won universal acclaim for 1997’s Utopia. With Révolution.comin 2004, featuring a blend of radical rock, blues and electro, the band created a musical revolution which won 50,000 fans, while Gazoline in 2007 became the soundtrack to the popular protests of the time.
As anyone who has seen them on stage knows, les No One remain a phenomenal live act, each concert being performed as if it was their last.
No One is innocent’s brand of rock is not the stuff of fashion magazines. Their look and their attitude epitomise the sweaty side of rock. Driven above all by the urge to find a new sound and to set up barricades on the dancefloor, the Parisian band recently switched to the Naïve label and released their fifth studio album in January 2011: Drugstore.
The big news in 2018 on the French rock scene: No One is innocent are back!
