Macy Gray has established herself in twenty years as one of the major figures of contemporary soul. Her unique voice and diverse influences, the most striking being that of her idol Billie Holiday, have made this singer an unclassifiable artist whose repertoire ranges from soul to jazz through urban sound and some rock forays.
Macy Gray has come a long way since becoming known at the Trans musicales de Rennes in 1999 with her single “I Try”, from her first album On How Life Is, which won a Grammy Award in 2001.
Macy released ten studio albums, the last of which was Ruby in late 2018, which received critical acclaim.
But it is in concert that Macy gives the best of herself, revealing a powerful vocal presence and an unusual personality.
She will be on the Bataclan stage in Paris on June 25, 2020.
