1999, Dream Theater released “Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory”, their first album with Jordan Rudess behind the keyboards. Considered as the sequel to the song “Metropolis Part 1: The Miracle and the Sleeper”, presents “Images and Words” (1992), this true “concept album” will delight the fans and become the second work of the quintet to be certified gold record in the United States.
20 years later, with two Grammy nominations and 15 million albums sold, Dream Theater has become the figurehead of “prog metal”. Now composed of James LaBrie (vocals), John Petrucci (guitar), Jordan Rudess (keyboards), John Myung (bass) and Mike Mangini (drums), the band goes back on the road to celebrate in music the entirety of this key album of his prolific and magnificent career.
But this tour, called The Distance Over Time – Celebrating 20 Years of Scenes From A Memory, will not be limited to the interpretation of this masterpiece of progressive metal, since during these 2 hours 45 of show, the musicians will also perform extracts from “Distance Over Time”, their latest album, as well as a selection of their best tracks.
