Alter Bridge
Genre: Hard/Metal

Alter Bridge is an American rock band which formed in 2004 after Creed broke up . Its line-up includes 3 former members of the original Tallahassee group: Mark Tremonti on guitar, Brian Marshall on bass and Scott Phillips on drums. The lead singer is Myles Kennedy (ex-Mayfield Four). The group are named after an actual bridge in Detroit, close to a place where Mark Tremonti lived during his childhood. He explains that, for the band, the name symbolises going towards the unknown and starting something new.

In 2007, their second album Blackbird, which featured the tracks ‘Rise Today’ and ‘Watch Over You’, was critically acclaimed. Their third offering AB III, released in 2010, reached number 9 in the charts on its American release. On this album, which is darker than its predecessors, the hammering rhythms and juicy riffs of the tracks Isolation’ and ‘Ghost of Days Gone By’ did well in the singles charts.
